Architecture Caribbean would like to congratulate Jomo Wahtuse who has been awarded the Guinness World Record for the largest steelpan in the world - the Jomoline. His claim for the Largest steel pan / steel drum - Claim Number: 313592 with the Guinness Book fo Records has been successful and confirmation of his feat is confirmed by Damian Field of the Guinness World Records.

It is my pleasure to share with you and the entire steel band fraternity my joy of the news that the "Jomoline" in now inducted into the Guinness World Record Books. This Steelpan Instrument which I invented thirty-four (34) years ago, was launched on the occasion of the Anglican Synod at The Holy Trinity Cathedral, Port of Spain, Trinidad West Indies, on May 6th 1977.

 My thanks is extended to the many tuners and tradesmen, such as: Welders, and Sheet Metal Workers, who were involved in the development of the "Jomoline" which started in 1966.

 However, "The Jomoline," which was launched at the Trinity Cathedral and presented for the Guinness Book of World Records, was tuned by Mr. Vernon "Birdie" Mannette (deceased) to whom I am grateful for his support and dedication in the making of this instrument. And also to Mr. Agustus Antoine, who was the main Welder / Fabricator / Sheet Metal Worker involved in the construction of this instrument.

I feel a degree of accomplishment, It is my hope that Guinness sees this achievement as significant , because of the fact that this Instrument was made over thirty four years ago which means that for all this time it has been the largest and only steel pan instrument in the World and one which has the largest musical range of any Steel pan instrument... Significantly the Steel pan is the only musical instrument invented in the twentieth century and this was done in this small third world country called Trinidad and Tobago , the world should also know that Trinidad and swiss replica watches Tobago has also Invented the largest and only Elliptical Steel pan instrument called the Jomoline.

The largest steelpan is the elliptical "Jomoline" which measures 104 cm (3 ft 4 in) wide and 84 cm (2 ft 9 in) tall. It was created by Jomo Wahtuse (Trinidad and Tobago) and presented and measured in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago on 12 November 2010.
